How Does Light Affect Transpiration?

The rate of transpiration is regulated by the opening of the stomata. In general, light stimulates the opening of stomata and during daylight, stomata remain open to allow diffusion of CO2 to carry out photosynthesis so the rate of transpiration is also fast.
