Solution

Population:

  1. According to the most recent estimates, there are around 7.8 billion people on the planet.
  2. Because the human population is not a static component, population growth is one of the world's major challenges.
  3. Despite the world's growing population, the world's resources remain unchanged. As a result, the ability to ensure long-term development is becoming a severe concern for humanity today.
  4. Because of improvements in public health and sanitation, the death rate has decreased during the last 200 years.
  5. The population changes in a specific area are impacted by four key variables, which include the following:
    1. Natality: It's the number of births in a population over a specific period of time.
    2. Mortality: It is defined as the total number of fatalities in a population over a specific time period.
    3. Immigration: It's defined as the amount of people who migrate from another population and add to the population in question over time.
    4. Emigration: It's the number of persons from a population who leave their habitat and go to a different environment for a set amount of time.
  6. As a result, it is evident that the two elements of Natality and Immigration boost population, whilst Mortality and Emigration decrease population.
