Solution

Follicle:

  1. A follicle is a small sac filled with fluid in the ovaries that contains a developing egg.
  2. Ideally, patients will want to have at least around 10 follicles before ovulation is triggered with fertility drugs.
  3. It's possible to be performed with fewer than 10 follicles, and success can still be achieved.
  4. Generally, 8 and 15 follicles are considered an acceptable number.
