Gene splicing and gene editing:

  1. Gene splicing and gene editings are genetic engineering tools that are used for biology and biotechnology primary tools.
  2. Gene splicing is a post-transcriptional modification in which a single gene codes for multiple proteins.
  3. DNA is chemically cut during gene splicing in order to add nucleotides to the DNA strand. Restriction enzymes are specialized chemicals that are used to cut DNA. Introns are cut out of a gene's main transcript during the transcription process, a process known as gene splicing.
  4. Gene editing is also called genome editing in which the DNA is modified, inserted, altered, or replaced. Gene editing help to treat the disease or try to enhance the person in some way.
  5. Genome editing, also known as gene editing, refers to a range of scientific techniques that enable the modification of an organism's DNA. At specific sites in the genome, these technologies enable the addition, removal, or modification of genetic material. There are several methods for genome editing that have been developed.
  6. So, biotechnology is not moving back but it gets evolving to further show advancements in biotechnology and genetic engineering fields.
