Is Genetic Code a Triplet?

Yes, genetic code is a triplet having a trinucleotide sequence. Genetic code deciphers the 20 amino acids present in proteins in the language of 4 bases present in DNA and RNA which directs the protein synthesis. Various triplet combinations of 4 bases make 64 codes (43 = 4x4x4) of which 61 codes are specific for amino acids and 3 codes are stop codons.
