Open in App
Solution

Mutation:

  1. Basically in a population, genetic drift is the change in the frequency of a mutation from one generation to the next.
  2. This will further result in the finite size of the population.
  3. Actually, it is the change in the allele frequencies in a population over time as a result of the random sampling events that are taking place.
  4. It is the evolutionary change or as a matter of change in allelic frequencies of a population.
  5. Hence, genetic drift is a mutation.
