RuBisco:

1. RuBisCO is the enzyme responsible for carbon fixation from atmospheric CO₂ as part of the Calvin- Benson cycle, which results in the creation of glucose, which is needed for utmost photosynthetic organisms' growth.
2. Rubisco's main job is to fix carbon dioxide( CO₂) in the terrain so that sugar motes like glucose can be formed.
3. Unfortunately, Rubisco confuses carbon dioxide( CO₂) with oxygen( O₂) and uses the latter in every fifth response.
4. RuBisCO is a poor catalyst, and its carboxylase activity is harmed by a variety of side reactions, including ambient O₂ oxygenation of its sugar-phosphate substrate.
5. The rate-limiting phase in the Calvin-Benson cycle, which converts atmospheric carbon into a physiologically usable carbon supply, is catalyzed by ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase (Rubisco).
6. RuBisco's poor catalytic rate and low substrate specificity need significant levels of enzyme synthesis.
