Is succinic acid toxic?

Succinic acid: -

  1. Skin burns and discomfort can occur if we come into contact with succinic acid.
  2. Ingestion of succinic acid causes nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea may occur and inhalation of it irritates the respiratory tract.
  3. It is not hazardous, as are most simple mono- and dicarboxylic acids, although it can irritate the skin and eyes.
