The cell wall is freely permeable to small molecules but there's a size exclusion which is 30-60 kilo dalton.

An impermeable layer (such as cork cells lined with suberin) does not allow any molecules to pass through it.

A semi permeable membrane or a differentially permeable membrane allows some molecules to pass through and restricts other molecules. Water molecules always pass through the differentially permeable membrane. The cell membrane and all the membranes of the organelles are said to be semi permeable.
