Solution
Allosteric enzymes:
The allosteric enzymes apart from having an active site also have an additional site for binding the effector molecule which can be a control site or an active site.
These are a type of regulatory enzyme that is regulated by nothing but the reversible and non-covalent binding of regulatory molecules to the enzyme.
These regulatory molecules are called the allosteric modulators or the allosteric effectors.
The conformational changes induced by these modulators can produce a more active or less active form of the enzyme.
