What are 2 types of circulation?

Solution

Types of circulation:

  1. Pulmonary Circulation: Lungs are majorly involved in this type of circulation.
    1. Deoxygenated blood is transferred to the lungs through the pulmonary artery.
    2. The deoxygenated blood comes from the right atrium to the right ventricle and pulmonary artery.
    3. Therefore, the carbon dioxide is removed and oxygen enters the bloodstream as a result of which blood carries oxygenated blood.
    4. This oxygenated blood is further carried by the pulmonary vein to the left atrium.
  2. Systemic Circulation: All systemic organs and tissues carry out this type of circulation.
    1. Oxygenated blood will go to the tissues and organs through the aorta.
    2. It becomes deoxygenated as a result of by-products of metabolic and respiration processes which is carbon dioxide.
    3. This deoxygenated blood is carried back to the heart by vena cava to the right atrium and then is further taken into the right ventricle.
