  2. It does not involve fusion of the male and female gametes, i.e., fertilization.
  3. This type of reproduction produces identical offspring to the parent.

Different types of asexual reproduction occurring in plants are as follows:

  1. Budding:- The process by which bud produces from the parent is capable of giving rise to the new plant.
  2. Vegetative Propagation:- It is the cutting of vegetative parts, i.e., reproducing parts that give rise to a new plant.
  3. Spore Formation:- The process by which organisms reproduce via spore transportation.
