What are polar bodies?

Solution
Polar bodies:
Polar body is actually the byproduct of an oocyte meiotic division and it is just the small cell that just normally apoptoses.
This cell generally separates from an oocyte and all during the meiosis.
So contains a nucleus that is generally produced either in the first or in the second meiotic division.
The zygote consists of roughly 2-3 polar entities generated from the oocyte.
Polar bodies are used to replace a haploid cell with half of the diploid chromosomal set created by meiotic division in the egg.
The cell must divide asymmetrically to generate the polar bodies.
