What are the symptoms of insulin deficiency?

Insulin deficiency:

It is caused by either the excessive production of insulin or by the rapid destruction of insulin in the body. It causes a disease called Diabetes Mellitus.

Following are the few major symptoms of insulin deficiency:-

  1. Increase in the levels of blood sugar or glucose from the normal value.
  2. Traces of sugar found in the urine - Glycosuria.
  3. Increase in the concentration of ketone bodies in the blood.
  4. Lack of energy and body pain.
  5. Excessive intake of water.
