GFR (Glomerular filtration rate):

  1. The total amount of Glomerular filtrate (which contains amino acids, sodium, potassium, urea, uric acid, and water) that is formed in both kidneys per minute is called the glomerular filtration rate.
  2. The GFR of a healthy individual is 125mL/minute.
  3. It is formed after blood is filtered by the dense capillaries of the glomerulus of the kidney.

Symptoms of low GFR include:

  1. Itching
  2. Vomiting
  3. Urinating in more or less amount than usual
  4. Tiredness
  5. Weight loss
