Solution

Monerans:

  1. They are the unicellular, prokaryotic organisms that reproduce asexually and act as decomposers.
  2. The Monerans have locomotory organ flagella and lack all the cellular organelles such as Golgi bodies, endoplasmic reticulum, and lysosomes.

Two main groups of Monerans:

  1. Archaebacteria: This group of Kingdom Monera is found in extreme habitats such as hot springs, marshy areas, and salty areas. Lokiarcheota and Methanobrevibacter smithii are examples of Archaebacteria.
  2. Eubacteria: The bacteria are also called true bacteria. The wall of eubacteria is made up of peptidoglycan. Clostridium and Rhizobium are examples of eubacteria
