It is the process of synthesis of messenger RNA (mRNA) from the DNA (Deoxyribose Nucleic Acid).
The mRNA further goes to the synthesis of proteins.
Transcription factors:
They are the proteins, and enzymes that are responsible for the synthesis of mRNA.
Transcription factors are involved in the process of transcribing the DNA molecule to RNA.
They include a wide range of proteins except for RNA polymerase and primers.
A unique feature of transcription factors is that they have a DNA binding domain that gives them the ability to bind to specific DNA sequences called enhancer or promoter sequences.
