Fossils are remains or traces of ancient life which have been preserved by natural processes.
Fossils are the remains of dead animals and plants that lived on it.
Examples of fossils: shells, bones, stone imprints of animals or even microbes, exoskeletons, objects preserved in amber, petrified wood, hair, oil, and DNA remnants.
There are five types of fossils: Body fossils, Molecular fossils, Trace fossils, Carbon fossils, and Pseudo fossils.
Fossils tell us about how animals & plants lived and behaved millions of years ago.
Fossils can not tell us about the organisms' behavioural patterns, their sound and colour of organisms.
