Codominance:

  1. It is the phenomenon whereby two alleles of a gene are co-dominant.
  2. It leads to neither the complete dominance nor the complete repression of a particular allele.
  3. Both the alleles are equally expressed and a new phenotype results.

Causes of Codominance Inheritance Pattern:

  1. It results only when two alleles exhibit dominance.
  2. It occurs only when the two alleles are in heterozygous genotype expression.
