Peripheral vascular disease :

  1. Peripheral artery disease or peripheral vascular disease refers to diseases of the blood vessels located outside the heart and brain.
  2. They are often caused by a buildup of fatty deposits in the arteries.
  3. PAD is also called a peripheral arterial disease or peripheral vascular disease which includes both arteries and veins.
  4. Peripheral vascular disease affects the blood vessels causing them to narrow, therefore restricting the blood flow to the arms, kidneys, stomach, and most commonly, the legs.

The causes that Peripheral Vascular Disease Look Like are:

  1. Changes in the skin include decreased skin temperature or thin, brittle, shiny skin on the legs and feet.
  2. Weak pulses in the legs and the feet.
  3. Gangrene is dead tissue due to a lack of blood flow
  4. Hair loss on the legs.
  5. Impotence.
