Open in App
Solution

CCK:

  1. Cholecystokinin (CCK) is a peptide hormone secreted in the gastrointestinal tract.
  2. It is synthesized and secreted by the enteroendocrine cells in the small intestine.
  3. It stimulates the secretion of pancreatic enzymes from the pancreas and bile juice from the gallbladder.
  4. The release of the CCK hormone is inhibited by somatostatin and bile acids.
  5. Trypsin also inhibits signals to secrete the CCK hormone.
