Acromegaly:

  1. Acromegaly is a disorder of the endocrine system occurring during adulthood due to an excessive abnormal amount of growth hormone (GH)/somatotrophin.

  3. When growth hormone is overly secreted during childhood, it is called “gigantism”.
  4. Although there is an abnormal increase in the size of bones, including hands, feet, and face, there is no increase in height.
