Solution

Human evolution:

  1. Human evolution is the evolutionary process by which human beings developed on earth.
  2. The scientific evidence shows that the physical and behavioral traits shared by all the people originated from apelike ancestors and evolved over the period of approximately six million years.
  3. The process of evolution involves a series of natural changes that cause species that is the population of different organisms to arise, adapt to the environment, and become extinct.

Example of human evolution are

Disease resistance:

  1. One of the best and most recent examples of human evolution.
  2. Though evolution is about the survival of the fittest and humans through evolution the humans have evolved resistance against common diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, and cholera.
  3. In the case of malaria, there are hundred different genes that cause a deficiency in proteins that are involved in breaking the red blood cells.

Blue eyes :

  1. Another recently developed trait in humans, but scientists have identified it as the mutation coming from a single ancestor which took place about 6,000-10,000 years ago.
  2. This mutation affects the OCA2 gene, which encodes a protein needed for producing melanin pigment, which gives color to hair, skin, and eyes, due to this mutation the limited production of melanin pigment turned off the ability to have brown eyes, the color of eyes thus becomes blue.
