What is said to be the causative of white rust?

White rust:

  1. White rust is caused by Albugo candida, a member of Oomycetes/Phycomycetes.
  2. Herbaceous plants are mainly affected including the members of the Brassicaceae family such as mustard, cabbage, etc.
  3. These include chlorosis (leaves produce insufficient chlorophyll due to which the same are light and pale), white spots on the underside of leaves and stems, and selling of the roots.
