Solution

AB positive blood group:

  1. On the basis of the presence of antigen on the surface of the red blood cells (RBCs), the blood group can be divided into four types.
  2. A, B, AB, and O are the four types of blood groups.
  3. The AB group has both A and B antigens.
  4. If the Rh factor is present, then, AB blood is considered positive and if the Rh factor is absent it is considered negative.
  5. The AB-positive blood type is known as the ‘universal recipient' because it has both the antigens and is Rh-positive.
