Structure of Fungus:

  1. The structure of fungus consists of the head which is called sporangia which encloses spores.
  2. A long filament is called hyphae and the structure that forms the network of filaments is called mycelium.
  3. Mycelium forms the body of the fungus.
  4. Some fungi possess rhizoids which are root-like structures present near hyphae.
  5. This structure is commonly observed in Rhizopus which is responsible for causing bread mold.
