Homoiothermous: The animals that maintain their body temperature irrespective of the environmental changes are called homoiothermous or homoiothermic animals.

Poikilothermous: The poikilothermous or poikilothermic animals are those which regulate their body temperature according to environmental changes.

Homoiothermous creatures can keep a steady internal temperature irrespective of external environmental conditions. Poikilothermous animal is a creature whose internal temperature changes greatly with changes in the external environment.
Homothermic animals are also known as warm-blooded animals.
Cold-blooded animals are poikilotherms.
Example: Mammals, birds, bats, and rabbits.Example: Invertebrates, fishes, amphibians, and reptiles.
