What is the duration of G1 in cultured vertebrate cell lines?

Solution
Dependency of cell lines on the G1 phase:
Cell lines are a known population of cells that are maintained in culture with specific media for a certain period of time for controlling the stability of phenotypes.
The G1 phase is that phase of the cell cycle where the cell is prepared for DNA replication and is dependent on the nutrients available to a cell for the production of proteins and RNA molecules.
This also depends on the cell size for protein synthesis.
In the case of mouse fibroblasts, G1 cells are small, and they need more time to accumulate the mass before entering the next cell cycle.
So this duration can be adjusted with available cell size, if the cell size is small, it needs more time for the replication hence prolonged G1 phase.
