Solution

Viruses:

  1. Viruses are noncellular infectious microorganisms consisting of nucleic acid either DNA or RNA which is surrounded by a protein coat in the capsid.
  2. A virus cannot replicate itself, it needs a host cell to increase its number by replication.
  3. Once the number of viruses increases in the host cell, it decays the host cell completely and gives entry to other cells.
  4. Examples of viruses include coronavirus, rhinovirus, poliovirus, etc.
  5. The eclipse period in the virus is the period between the entry of the virus genetic material into the host, causing infection and the appearance of new mature virus in a host cell.
