Codominance :

  1. Codominance is the expression of two alleles ( two different versions of the same gene ) to an equal extent in an individual.
  2. It can recognised by the phenotype of the heterozygote, which expresses the phenotype corresponding to both the alleles of the gene.
  3. For example: A dog containing fur of both the colours, present in the mother and father of the dog.
  4. AB blood group contains allele for blood group A and allele for blood group B.
