Role of homeostasis:

1. Through the process of homeostasis, one is able to maintain a comparatively stable internal state which remains intact even after changes occurring in the outside environment.
2. The purpose of homeostasis is to maintain a normal balance within the body regarding its temperature, salt concentration, water concentration, and food intake.
