Axile Placentation:

  1. Here, the ovaries are partitioned into more than one chamber – two or more chambers.
  2. The placentae occur in the central area where the septa get together for the axile column having ovules to be formed. It takes place in syncarpous pistils.
  3. Axile placentation can be seen in lemon (multilocular).
  4. It can also be seen in shoe flowers (pentalocular).
