Solution
Plasmogamy and karyogamy:
The merging of protoplasms between two moving or non-moving gametes is called plasmogamy.
The merging of two nuclei is called karyogamy.
The reproduction of male and female gametes to form zygotes is known as syngamy.
Syngamy has two steps: plasmogamy and syngamy.
Plasmogamy and karyogamy differ only in structure.
Both plasmogamy and karyogamy occur during the syngamy in fungi.
