Open in App
Solution

Oxidase:

Any enzyme that catalyzes an oxidation or reduction process which contains molecular oxygen is called oxidase.

Location of oxidase:

Oxidase is found in the mitochondria of cells in our body.

  1. Mitochondria are not easily visible under the microscope until they are dyed.
  2. Janus green B is used to stain mitochondria. A double unit membrane protects DNA.
  3. The exterior membrane is smooth, but the inner membrane folds into numerous cristae folds.
  4. In comparison to the outer membrane, the inner membrane comprises fewer phospholipids (Phosphatidylcholine) and cholesterol.
  5. The outer membrane of the organelle maintains constant borders. The two membranes are connected.
