Solution

Chamber of heart that pumps blood to brain: Left ventricle

  1. The left side of the heart receives oxygen-rich blood from the lungs.
  2. The oxygenated blood from the lungs is pumped into the left atrium by the pulmonary vein.
  3. The blood is pumped to the left ventricle through a mitral valve or bicuspid valve.
  4. The left ventricle then pumps the oxygen rich blood through aortic valve to the rest of the body, including the brain through the arteries.
  5. The carotid arteries and the vertebral arteries are the two sets of arteries that pumps up the blood to the brain from the heart.
