Embryo sac:

Monosporic embryo sac:

  1. The most common embryo sac in the flowering plants is monosporic, 7 celled and 8 nucleated.
  2. The haploid blastocyst, also known as the polygonal blastocyst, is the most common type of blastocyst in flowering plants.
  3. It develops after mitosis and three consecutive mitoses in the megaspore parent cell.
  4. The normal or polygonal blastocyst type is a haploid nucleus.
  5. Its nucleus divides three times to form eight nuclei.
