Cellular Respiration:

  1. The process by which the organisms combine oxygen with food to produce energy is known as cellular respiration.
  2. The waste product of this reaction is carbon dioxide and water.
  3. Cellular respiration takes place in two stages: Glycolysis and the Krebs cycle.
  4. Glycolysis is the 10-step chain reaction in which the glucose is broken down and releases 2-ATP and converts NAD+ into NADH.
  5. Krebs cycle also known as the Tricarboxylic acid cycle is the main cycle that releases 32 ATP.
  6. Cellular respiration is used by all the organisms for producing energy.
