Open in App
Solution

Plants produce glucose:

  1. During photosynthesis, light energy is converted to chemical energy and is stored in the form of glucose and gets transported to the various parts of the plant.
  2. Glucose contains much more energy as compared to ATP.
  3. Glucose is broken down to produce ATP in the mitochondria.
  4. The energy released from ATP hydrolysis is utilized to do cellular work.
