Given equation $0.6 x + 0.8 = 0.28 x + 1.16$
Group the $x$ -terms and constant terms as
$\Rightarrow 0.28 x - 0.6 x = 0.8 - 1.16$
$\Rightarrow (0.28 - 0.6) x = - 0.36$
$\Rightarrow (- 0.32) x = - 0.36$
$\Rightarrow x = \frac{- 0.36}{- 0.32}$ [Dividing $- 0.32$ on both sides]
$\Rightarrow x = \frac{36}{32}$
$∴ x = 1.125$
Hence, the value of $x$ is $1.125$
