All the natural numbers and 0 forms the set of all whole numbers.

Rational numbers are those numbers which can be expressed in the form ab where b0, and a,b are real numbers.

0 belongs to the set of whole numbers, and also 0 can be expressed in ab form as 01,02 etc.

Therefore, 0 is both a whole number and a rational number.
