Solution

The correct option is A 5.68 %
m.e. of available chlorine in 25 mL of bleaching powder
= m.e of iodine liberated
= m.e of hypo solution
= 125×12.5=0.5
m.e. of available chlorine in 25 mL of bleaching powder = 0.5×10025=2
equivalents of available chlorine = 21000
wt. of available chlorine = 21000×35.5=0.071 g
percentage of available chlorine = 0.0711.25×100=5.68%
