Molecular weight of Aniline is GMM=93g

Molecular weight of Acetanilide is GMM=135g

Step 3: Find the remaining weight of Acetanilide:

93g of Aniline produces 135g of Acetanilide

1.86g of Aniline produce ?

Weight of Acetanilide is wC6H5NHCOCH3=1.86g×135g93g

wC6H5NHCOCH3=2.7g

At 10% loss, 90% of Acetanilide has remained after purification.

Amountofproductobtained=2.7×90100=2.43g
