1) As molecular weight increases, boiling point of haloalkanes increases.

Boiling points increase with increasing molecular mass due to the greater magnitude of Van der Waal's forces of attraction.

So,the increasing order of boiling point can be given by comparing molecular weight as-


2) As molecular weight increases, boililng point of haloalkanes increases.

Boiling point increases with increasing molecular mass due to the greater magnitude of Van der Waal's forces of attraction.

Also ,as the branches increase in a molecule, there is a decrease in the intermolecular force between the molecules because of decrease in surface area. So, boiling point decreases with branching.

The increasing order of boiling point can be represented as given below-
