A.) Displacement reaction is a chemical reaction in which a more reactive element displaces a less reactive element from its compound. Both metals and non-metals take part in displacement reactions.
Example : Reaction of iron nails with copper sulphate solution.
B.) Ductility is a physical property of a material associated with the ability to be hammered thin or stretched into wire without breaking. A ductile substance can be drawn into a wire.
Examples: Most metals are good examples of ductile materials, including gold, silver, copper, erbium, terbium, and samarium. An example of a metal that is not very ductile is aluminum. Nonmetals are not generally ductile.
C.) Sonorous refers to something that produces a typical metallic sound when hit with something.
Example: All metals.
D.) Metalloid is a chemical element with properties intermediate between those of typical metals and nonmetals.
Examples: Boron, Silicon, Arsenic, Germanium and Tellurium.
