  • Prevent the replenishment of organic matter.
  • Kill the microorganisms of soil.
  • Cause air, water and soil pollution.
  • Risk the health of person handling the pesticides.
  • Affect the growth of crops.

2. The following are some desirable traits for cross breeding in poultry birds:
  • Good quality and large size of eggs
  • Good quality meat
  • Low maintenance requirements
  • High resistance to diseases.
  • Tolerance to high temperature.
  • Ability to utilise cheaper diets produced from agricultural wastes.
