Let us assume the moles of ​Cu2O and ​CuO be x and y, respectively.


Eq. (1) x×143 + y×79.5 = 1Eq. (2) x×127 + y×63.5 = 0.839

Solving for y will give, y = 0.006912

Weight of Cuprous oxide (CuO) = ​0.006912 × 79.5 = 0.55 g
