Separation of iron filling from the mixture of clay and sugar:

• We can separate mixture of sugar and iron filling by using a magnet.

Separation of sugar from clay:

• Now sugar and clay can be separate by mixing in water.
• Sugar will dissolve in water.
• Using filtration method, sugar can be separate from the mixture, leaving clay behind.
• After that sugar can be separated from water by evaporation.

Hence, using magnetic separation and filtration method, the mixture of iron fillings, clay and sugar can be separated.
