The volume of wire = length x Cross-sectional Area.

Since volume is the same in both the cases as the density and mass of copper is same, the length of the second wire will be half of the length of the 1st wire.

L(1stwire)×A(1stWire) = L(2ndWire)×A(2ndWire)

L(1stwire)×A=L(2ndWire)×4A

L(1stwire)4=L(2ndWire)

Using R = ρLA,

R(1st Wire) = ρLA

R(2nd Wire) = ρL4×4A

R(1stWire)R(2ndWire) = 16:1
