The correct option is D 60%
Let the volume of CO is =a litre
And the volume of CO2 is =b litre
Now given, a+b=1
Given when it pass through red-hot charcoal only CO2 is reacted
CO2+C=2CO,2blitres
a+2b=1.6&a+b=1
So, a=0.4 litre and b=0.6 litre.
Or a=0.4 (40%) and b=0.6 (60%)
CO=40 % and CO2=60%
Hence, option D is correct.
