Solution
Manure - It is the natural material which is obtained by decaying plant and animal waste.
Biofertilizer- These are living microorganisms which fix nitrogen bacteria in roots of the plants.
Mycorrhiza- It is a symbiotic association between a fungus and vascular plants.
Diazotrophs- These as bacteria that fix atmospheric nitrogen gas into a more usable form.
Root nodule- These are associated with symbiotic nitrogen fixation which occurs at roots.
Frankia-It is the genus of nitrogen-fixing bacteria which lives in symbiotic form.
Nitrogen-fixation- It is a process in which the atmospheric nitrogen is converted into ammonia.
"Fertilizer is inorganic, or organic compounds rich in plant nutrients'.

..........
Organic substances obtained by the decomposition of animal wastes and plant residues which supply essential elements and humus to the soil.
Q.
Statement-1: Manure helps in enriching the soil with nutrients and organic matter.
Statement-2: Fertilizers are rich in nutrients and thus, are required in small amounts, as compared to manures.
Statement-3: Continuous use of fertilizers in an area increases soil fertility because the organic matter in the soil is replenished.
Q.
Assertion :Root nodules in leguminous plants are inhabited by
Anabaena
Reason: Leguminous plants are an example of symbiotic nitrogen fixation
Q.
Assertion :Organic farming is very beneficial for farmers to increase crop production. Reason: Bacteria, fungi, mycorrhiza, cyanobacteria are better biofertilizer which fixes nitrogen and increase soil fertility.
